Royal Isabela Wins 2013 World Travel Award

(Isabela, Puerto Rico) - Royal Isabela—the world-class golf and private membership club on the cliffs of northwest Puerto Rico—was named “Puerto Rico’s Leading Golf Resort” at the World Travel Awards Caribbean and North American Gala.

Royal Isabela also was nominated in the category of Puerto Rico’s Leading Boutique Hotel for 2013.

The World Travel Awards, which is recognized around the globe as the travel industry’s highest accolade, are celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2013. The awards celebrate companies, organizations, and brands that “are pushing the boundaries of industry excellence in product and service.”

Royal Isabela, which opened in 2012, was nominated with five other Puerto Rican resorts, all of which are larger and older than the winner for 2013. Royal Isabela is proud to have been nominated in the same category with:
* El Conquistador Resort
* Embassy Suites Dorado del Mar Beach and Golf Resort
* Gran Meliá Puerto Rico Golf Resort
* Rio Mar Beach Resort and Spa
* The St. Regis Bahia Beach Resort

Twenty artistically designed one-bedroom casitas, each with expansive indoor and outdoor space as well as private pools, ocean views, and easy access to the resort’s many amenities are the hallmark of Royal Isabela’s offerings.  Leading the way in those amenities is the golf course, called Golf Links at Royal Isabela, a magnificent beauty that sprawls across acres of native grasses, natural sand dunes, and craggy cliffs that soar 300 feet above the Caribbean Sea. The course was designed by the owners of the resort, brothers Charles and Stanley Pasarell, in association with the late David W. Pfaff.

In service, Royal Isabela caters to discerning individuals in search of quiet, exclusivity, outstanding dining, golf and other sporting options, and the ultimate in relaxation in one of the most beautiful corners of the island—and the world.
