GolfTalk Live Named State's Best Radio Show by Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters

(PHILADELPHIA, PA) - The GolfTalk Live radio show - and its flagship station WNTP Newstalk 990 in Philadelphia - received the prestigious Excellence in Broadcasting Award from the Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters (PAB), during the association's annual awards luncheon at the Hotel Hershey.

The award to GolfTalk Live came in the "Judges' Merit" category, for a show titled "GolfTalk Live in the Wild West" that aired in September of 2015.  The trophy, signifying the highest award for broadcasting in Pennsylvania, is the second received by GolfTalk Live in 2016.  The first was an Outstanding Achievement Award from the International Network of Golf given in January at the 2016 PGA Merchandise Show.

"What a 10th year on-air," show host Tony Leodora said.  "Being recognized by your peers in the golf industry is always exciting and humbling.  But receiving the highest honor in the category of all radio programming, not just sports, for two years straight means we are continuing to provide the most informative and entertaining radio show for our listeners."

GolfTalk Live has now achieved three International Network of Golf (ING) No. 1 Radio Show awards and two "Judges Merit" awards from PAB since going on-air in 2006.

"Congratulations Tony," exclaims Russ Whitnah, Salem Broadcasting Vice President and General Manager of WNTP.  "We knew in the very beginning that GolfTalk Live would be a great show. And now for the second year in a row the PAB Award serves as obvious evidence. We thank host Tony Leodora and his entire GolfTalk team for your partnership."

The GolfTalk Live radio show is the award-winning weekly radio show that has won national awards for eight consecutive years and was named No. 1 Golf Radio Show in America by the International Network of Golf at the PGA Merchandise Show in three of the last eight years.
