(Hamburg, NJ) - Crystal Springs Golf Resort, one of the leading golf resort destinations in the Northeast, has launched a new golf academy featuring award-winning PGA instructor Brian Rogish.
The newly named Crystal Springs Golf Academy will provide innovative and exciting programming for resort guests and members through a variety of customized golf instruction programs using state-of-the-art technology.
“Crystal Springs is excited to align with its new Golf Academy partner, PGA Professional Brian Rogish,” Vice President of Operations Art Walton said. “His expertise, energy, and innovative coaching programs are very compatible with the Resort’s goals of growing the game and providing a more fun and rewarding golf experience for our clientele.”
A native of Wilkes-Barre, PA, Rogish brings to Crystal Springs a wealth of experience in resort golf academy operations. He previously served golfers at Turning Stone Resort & Casino near Syracuse, NY and Nemacolin Woodlands Resort in Farmington, PA.
“I’m overwhelmed with excitement about partnering with Crystal Springs,” Rogish said. “There isn’t a better combination of great golf and amenities available within such a short distance in the northeast, and I couldn’t think of a better place to bring my brand of golf coaching.”
Rogish has earned a reputation as a rising professional in the world of golf instruction and has received numerous accolades, including being named Tri-State PGA Teacher of the year and being nominated for Golf Digest’s Best Young Teachers and Best Teachers in State recognition.
The Crystal Springs Golf Academy will operate daily during the golf season, as well as scheduled times during the winter months. Its programming is designed to meet the needs of current golfers as well as helping the non-golfer who has an interest in playing the game.
“Our Get Golf Ready, and Golf 101 programs are specifically designed to introduce the game to the complete beginner, and to help them feel comfortable with not only how to hold and swing the club but also help them to learn to be less intimidated about coming to a golf facility,” Rogish explained.
The Crystal Springs Golf Academy and Rogish will implement some of the leading swing technology to help golfers improve their games, including Trackman ball flight analysis, which is the leading technology used by PGA Tour players to capture ball flight information, and Swing Catalyst, the ultimate video software that creates side by side comparisons with your swing and numerous PGA and LPGA Tour player’s swings. The Balance Plate portion of Swing Catalyst also tracks your muscle movement and weight shift through the golf swing. In addition, the technology also offers an app to record your swing anywhere in the world and send it to your coach instantly for those periodic “quick checks” and feedback.
A variety of programming options will be available, including multi-day and overnight golf school programs that will cover all aspects of the game, private lessons, golf outing packages as well as programs for business and meeting functions.
Specialty programs like “The Biggest Loser” will be a hit. It is designed to identify the golfer who has the drive to take their game to next level, and see just exactly how many strokes can be knocked off their scores with help from the academy. The golfer who loses the most shots at the end of the eight weeks is crowned “The Biggest Loser.” Red Zone Golf will help players master the scoring shots from inside of 100-yards. Golf 101 for true beginners will also be used in this program.
Crystal Springs Golf Academy also plans to cater to junior golfers in its efforts to grow the game and provide instruction in a fun and non-intimidating atmosphere. After-school programs, summer camps, PGA Junior League, and high school prep leagues will be offered, as well as programming for elite junior players.
