Troon Selected to Manage Fargo (N.D.) Country Club

(Scottsdale, Ariz.) – Troon, the leader in golf course management, development, and marketing, has been selected to manage Fargo Country Club in Fargo, North Dakota. Troon Privé, the private club operations division of Troon, will manage the historic club.

With a rich history dating back 120 years to 1898, Fargo Country Club is North Dakota’s oldest club and golf course. The club features an 18-hole, 6,992-yard championship golf course and a family-friendly, 9-hole executive course. The championship course has been rated as the No. 1 private golf course in North Dakota by Golf Digest. An expansive practice facility with a driving range, two putting greens, short-game practice areas and a 128-yard “19th hole” round out the club’s golf offerings.

“Fargo Country Club has long been considered one of the top country clubs in the region,” said Rob DeMore, president, Troon Privé. “The opportunity to manage a tremendous property such as Fargo Country Club is exciting. Our Troon Privé team will now look to make an already exceptional property even better.”

In addition to golf, Fargo Country Club amenities also include a beautiful 20,000-square-foot clubhouse overlooking the Red River and the championship golf course. Inside the clubhouse, members enjoy multiple dining options, including a main dining room, the front bar and a sports bar, while the club’s banquet facilities can accommodate up to 240 guests. Fargo Country Club is also home to one of the region’s most active tennis programs, with two Har-Tru tennis courts and two artificial grass courts for members to enjoy throughout the season. The club’s swimming facility features a heated-pool, a separate two-foot-deep infant pool and a water play area for toddlers.

“At the rate at which our club is growing, now is the perfect time for Troon and Fargo Country Club to partner,” said Fargo Country Club Board President Chris Hoffmann. “I believe this partnership will not only benefit club members, but also the Fargo community as a whole. Troon is a large national employer with proven systems in place with agronomy, food and beverage operations, inventory management and more. Local students will benefit with additional employment opportunities and have the chance to learn and grow with the club and Troon.”
