Circling Raven Garners Distinction via Golf Advisor’s ‘Best Courses of the Mountain West’ List

Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort Hotel Amenity Also Rates as the No. 1 Course in Idaho

(Worley, Idaho) – Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort Hotel today announces that Circling Raven Golf Club, the resort’s sublime championship course designed by Gene Bates, has earned “best-of” accolades from reviewers on Golf Advisor in its “Best of 2018: Mountain West” annual compendium.

The yearly Golf Advisor lists are compiled by analyzing the ratings and reviews submitted by members of the community throughout the year. It uses the Golf Advisor Index logic that weights newer reviews and combine it with a course's weighted subcategory averages. Reviews from trusted and active reviewers are weighted heavier than inactive members. Courses must offer public access and have been reviewed in 2018 to be eligible for the honors.

A Golf Channel product, Golf Advisor has received more than 825,000 reviews of 14,000-plus golf courses and is “a place where golfers of all levels find honest recommendations from their peers – and to offer feedback of their own – about any golf course they play.”

“With many exceptional courses in the Mountain West, the Coeur d’Alene Tribe is proud that golfers think so highly of Circling Raven; we strive to exceed our guests’ expectations on and off the course,” said Laura Stensgar, CDA Casino Resort Hotel, Director of Public Relations and Cultural Tourism. “Circling Raven will celebrate its 15th Anniversary Season this year with special offers and events, and we hope this acclaim inspires players to visit us, celebrate our anniversary with us, and judge the course for themselves.”

Owned and operated by the Coeur d’Alene Tribe, Circling Raven is in the scenic Idaho panhandle approximately 55 minutes from Spokane International Airport (GEG). Measuring 7,189 yards from the rear tees, the 18-hole layout sprawls magnificently through 620 acres of woodlands, wetlands, and Palouse grasses. Its gleaming white sand bunkers are large and strategically placed, and its variety of holes is tremendous.

Many who play Circling Raven, which includes a nationally honored retail shop and the excellent Twisted Earth restaurant with bar, claim it as an immediate member of their all-time best golf experiences. Other Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort amenities and activities include the full-service Spa Ssakwa’q’n; a variety of hotel rooms and suites; bars, restaurants, lounges, and eateries; cultural immersion options, and more. The casino is currently undergoing a multi-million-dollar renovation with a planned Spring 2019 unveiling.

Traveling golfers often play both Coeur d’Alene Resort Course and Circling Raven, which are located roughly 45 minutes apart. CDA Resort Course was also ranked among the “Best Courses of the Mountain West”, and the No. 4-rated course in Idaho.

Circling Raven has garnered numerous best-in-kind honors since opening, including being rated as a Top 100 Resort Course, Best in State, and a Top U.S. Casino Course. Its golf shop has won awards for its excellence and its variety of products, displays, and performance.
