(MAUMEE, OH) — Officials from aboutGOLF today announced that professional football quarterback Justin Herbert has been named as a brand ambassador for aboutGOLF simulators following the installation of a simulator utilizing the company’s proprietary technology in the 24-year-old’s home.
“aboutGOLF is focused on the modern golfer looking to find players who can enjoy the game through various and less traditional avenues. I represent that philosophy in many ways,” Herbert said. “Golf is not only an escape for me, but also allows me to use my competitive spirit in a different way. Access to an aboutGOLF simulator opens a world of fun, engaging and challenging games and competition in addition to the most accurate simulator system available.”In addition to the customized installation and the industry-leading camera technology, aboutGOLF brings its subscribers and users together to enjoy competing with, and against, each other through virtual golf competitions and challenges. The system also provides non-golf games and other entertainment options.
“Adding Justin Herbert to our list of celebrity athletes was an easy decision given his passion for the game and interest in alternatives to the 18-hole outdoor round of golf,” said Ken Reynolds, aboutGOLF VP of Sales and Marketing. “Given his love for golf, his competitive spirit and his desire to enjoy golf in a fun space in the comfort of his own home, we are looking forward to a long partnership with Justin and seeing him progress using the unmatched accuracy that our machine vision ball tracking technology provides.”
During his first season in 2020, Herbert earned Offensive Rookie of the Year honors, finishing the season with 4,336 passing yards and 31 touchdowns. He followed that up in 2021 by throwing for over 5,000 yards and 38 touchdowns and earned his first trip to the Pro Bowl. Last month, Herbert hosted the second annual Justin Herbert Invitational, a golf tournament benefiting Kidsports, a Eugene, Oregon-based non-profit that provides opportunities for all children to learn and play sports.
