Seven Golf Instructors At Troon-Affiliated Courses Named Operation 36 Top 50 Instructors

(Scottsdale, Ariz.)
– Troon, the leader in providing golf and club-related leisure and hospitality services, is proud to recognize the seven golf instructors at Troon-affiliated courses named “2021 Top 50 Instructors” by Operation 36, a developmental program and technology to introduce and guide anyone in playing the game of golf. Those honored by Op 36 include:

- Corey Higgs at Compass Pointe Golf Courses in Pasadena, Maryland

- Steve Brewer at Dubsdread Golf Course in Orlando, Florida

- Roger Stebbins at High Meadow Ranch Golf Club in Magnolia, Texas

- Eric Solander at Indian Wells Golf Resort in Indian Wells, California

- Paul Whitman at Pine Tree Country Club in Birmingham, Alabama

- Michael Parker at Tri-Mountain Golf Course in Ridgefield, Washington

- Evan Lambert at Tumble Brook Country Club in Bloomfield, Connecticut

The Operation 36 Top 50 Golf Coach list is the only one of its kind that uses quantitative measures to determine who is making the biggest impact on golf through their program. A key component of Op 36 Golf Program is the ability to measure progress for the golfer’s journey. Golf coaches are evaluated by their use of formal golf matches throughout the year, application of the Op 36 curriculum, assessing golfer’s progress throughout the season, and the use of online social tools to encourage more practice and play.

“Our intention when creating this award was to be able to show families which coaches and teams are going ‘Above and Beyond’ every day for their golfers,” said Ryan Dailey, PGA, COO and Co-Founder, Operation 36. “Congratulations to these instructors and courses for offering an exceptional program that we call a ‘Top 50 Experience.’”

Op 36 provides a platform for a robust curriculum via a phone App that allows students to watch videos of content covered during class. If a student misses a class, they can watch the videos and know exactly what was covered that day. What separates Op 36 from other group golf programing is that juniors and adults are able get out onto the golf course and play almost immediately – no other instruction programming offers a faster pathway. Old-school instruction methods place value on coaching on the practice range for months before students get a chance to play golf on the course.

“Congratulations to these seven coaches who, like all Troon coaches, look to integrate programs and resources that will resonate with their local communities to increase participation levels and enjoyment of the game,” said Tim Mahoney, Troon’s Global Director of Education and Coaching. ”And, thank you to all coaches in the Troon family of brands for your dedication to growing the game – your efforts do not go unnoticed.”
