(MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.) — Family Golf Week, highlighted by the ever-popular Father-Son Team Classic, will begin accepting entries for its 25th anniversary event on November 22.
A two-person team event, Family Golf Week will be held July 10-16, 2022 and eight of Myrtle Beach’s premier courses will welcome more than 400 teams from 40+ states. A week-long celebration of the game, Family Golf Week is highlighted by the Father-Son and Parent-Child team classics, a pair of 54-hole tournaments that attract mothers, fathers, grandparents and children to participate.
Entry fee is $995 per team for past participants and $1,095 for new teams. Entry includes three rounds of golf, daily lunch, pre- and post-event functions, and a gift bag valued at $500 per participant. Included among the gift bag items is a $300 tournament gift card that is good for use at all host courses for golf practice rounds, pro shop merchandise, food & beverage as well as Family Golf Week’s new online store. Teams that register prior to December 31, 2021 will receive a $100 bonus added to their gift card.
“We are already hard at work to ensure our 25th Anniversary edition of Family Golf Week will be the best one yet,” said Mike Buccerone, president of East Coast Golf Events. “Our early entry price of $995 per team offers tremendous value, and we look forward to celebrating the unbreakable bond between golf and family.”
Both Family Golf Week events require participants to have a USGA approved handicap and feature a different format of play each day, starting with two-person captain’s choice, followed by better ball and modified alternate shot.
Barefoot Resort, which has a pair of clubhouses featuring ample meeting and dining space, is the event’s host facility, serving as the home of pre- and post-event functions, including the Family Golf Night and the tournament awards luncheon, both of which are highlights of week.
The star-studded 2022 golf course lineup will include Wachesaw Plantation East, Prestwick Country Club, Shaftesbury Glen, Pine Lakes Country Club, Arcadian Shores Golf Club, Crow Creek Golf Club, The Pearl and Barefoot Resort.
East Coast Golf Events, LLC, a valued National Partner of East Coast Golf Management, manages Family Golf Week. East Coast, which provides management and marketing support to 25 courses, is one of the region’s most innovative and resourceful companies, maximizing growth for its partner courses.
