Extends Presenting Partnership with the PGA Professional Championship through 2021
(BLUFFTON, S.C.) – Club Car, a golf industry leader for over 60 years, has renewed its long-standing partnership with the PGA of America. Club Car will continue as a Presenting Partner of the PGA Professional Championship and the 41 PGA Section Championships conducted nationwide, which it has supported since 1993.
In addition, Club Car will continue as the “Official Golf Car of the PGA of America.” The renewed partnership kicks off with the PGA Section Championships this summer and extends through the 2021 PGA Professional Championship. The announcement was made Friday by PGA of America Vice President Jim Richerson and Jeff Tyminski, Club Car Vice President of Marketing and Product Development.
“The PGA of America is very excited that Club Car, a tremendous friend of the PGA Professional and to the game of golf, will continue as presenting sponsor of the PGA Professional Championship and the 41 PGA Section Championships,” said Richerson. “Club Car’s sincere commitment to growing the game has elevated both this Championship and those who compete for the Walter Hagen Cup.”
Since 1993, Club Car has served as a presenting sponsor of the PGA Professional Championship, the showcase event for PGA Professionals, along with Section Championships. The Championship began in 1968 as an outgrowth of the PGA Championship.
“The PGA Professional Championship is the premier event for PGA Professionals and Club Car is proud to support the thousands who aspire to earn a berth in the Championship,” said Club Car President and CEO Mark Wagner. “These are the professionals who help grow the game every day and enable millions of golfers to enjoy it and play better golf. We’re thrilled to be so closely aligned with those outstanding individuals as we enter our 27th consecutive year of partnership with the PGA of America.”
