Acclaimed coach John Geiberger to create unique experiences, fundraising opportunities
(SAN JOSE, Calif.) – Acclaimed golf coach John Geiberger has joined the staff of Garmany Golf, one of the world’s leading travel and hospitality companies.
Geiberger, named the 1997 National Collegiate Coach of the Year, will serve as Garmany Golf’s Director of Collegiate Golf and International Experiences, focusing on creating travel experiences for college golf teams, boosters and alumni, as well as developing fundraising opportunities.

A native of Santa Barbara, Geiberger served as men’s golf coach at Pepperdine University from 1996 to 2012. A five-time West Coast Conference Coach of the Year, his Pepperdine teams captured the 1997 NCAA Championship and 10 conference titles, including seven in a row from 1999-2005. Geiberger coached 14 All-Americans and 10 Academic All-Americans.
An all-conference golfer at Pepperdine (class of 1991), Geiberger then caddied for his father, Al, on the PGA Champions Tour from 1991-96, notching seven wins together before starting his college coaching career. Geiberger remains an active member of the Golf Coaches Association of America and serves as boys golf coach at the prestigious Oaks Christian School in Westlake Village, Calif., home to a thriving student body that excels in academics, arts and athletics.
