Former Southwest Section PGA president joins KemperSports at suburban Phoenix club
(NORTHBROOK, Ill.) – KemperSports announced that industry veteran Greg Leicht will lead the team as general manager at Bear Creek Golf Complex in Chandler, Ariz.
Leicht joins Bear Creek with almost 30 years of experience in the Phoenix and Las Vegas-area golf markets, including general manager duties at The Phoenician Resort, Vistal Golf Club, Cascata Golf Club.
PGA Southwest Section president from 2014-2017, Leicht continues to play an active role on the board of the Southwest Section of the PGA of America. A PGA member since 1998, Leicht has been an elected officer of the Southwest Section since 2011. His leadership and commitment to giving back to the community through the game of golf led Leicht to implement programs that raised more than $700K for the Southwest Section Foundation during his tenure as president.
“Greg’s passion for the game and knowledge of the Phoenix golf market will be a tremendous asset to the team at Bear Creek,” said KemperSports CEO Steve Skinner.
Located 25 miles southeast of downtown Phoenix, The Bear Course delivers an “inland links” golf experience with firm and fast playing conditions across rolling desert terrain. The executive Cub Course provides a sporty alternative to the Bear Course’s championship layout. At just 3,500 yards and a par-59 routing, The Cub Course offers a fun alternative and a great golf course for beginning and junior golfers.
The complex also includes a robust practice facility with grassed driving range, short game area and two practice putting greens.
KemperSports has managed Bear Creek since August 2017.
