Caddy For A Cure CEO and program founder Russ Holden said "Our first opportunity to learn about Emerick came through Vice President, Corey Lohman. Corey bid and won the opportunity to caddy at the 2011 LPGA Safeway Classic in Portland, not too far from the Emerick corporate headquarters in Happy Valley. Corey had the opportunity to spend the day inside the ropes with 2011 Kraft Nabisco champion, Stacy Lewis. The day was a great success for everyone, but especially for the people our program supports." Holden concluded, "Through this new partnership with Emerick as spearheaded by Corey, we look forward to increasing the charitable support from our program as we facilitate more amazing opportunities in the world of professional golf."
Emerick VP Corey Lohman commented, "When I heard about Caddy For A Cure I thought it sounded like a lot of fun and was a great way for contributing to worthy causes. It was a perfect opportunity for me to participate at the LPGA Safeway Classic in Portland, so I figured I'd give it a try. It was a blast from start to finish and a day I won't soon forget. Some time ago Emerick instituted a giving back program called Live, Work, Play as a means of supporting the communities in which we live, work and play. After seeing what Caddy For A Cure does and the many people the program helps, it made sense to partner with them to support the communities in which we 'play'. We're happy to be supporting them and providing the logoed golf shirts that are part of the Caddy For A Cure participant goody package. We're confident future program caddies will have as great of a time as I did."
Caddy For A Cure offers PGA TOUR, Champions Tour and LPGA Tour caddy opportunities through its www.caddyforacure.com. 100% of auction proceeds are donated to charity. Funds are directed to the PGA TOUR Birdies for the Brave military outreach, the PGA TOUR Professional Caddy Assistance Foundation, the LPGA Foundation USGA-Girls Golf program, in support of Fanconi anemia and each participating player's and host site's charity.
