Time-Lapse Video Shows Construction Process of Balsam Mountain Preserve’s Palmer Practice Park

For the true golf enthusiast, a behind the scenes look at some of the country’s best courses can be just as juicy as playing them. Check out this newly released time-lapse video of Balsam Mountain Preserve’s Palmer Practice Park.

Showing the intricate construction process of the park, the video offers stunning views of the Blue Ridge Mountains as the team shapes the mountaintop course.

The Palmer Practice Park, designed by the Arnold Palmer Design Group and unveiled in September 2018, includes several pitch-and-putt holes for casual recreation and honing members’ short game. This “golf park” concept gives novice players and families the opportunity to enjoy a casual and abbreviated version of the game.

Located in Balsam Mountain Preserve, a private, conservation-oriented community in North Carolina’s Blue Ridge Mountains just outside Asheville, the Palmer Practice Park, as well as the championship-level, 18-hole Arnold Palmer Signature Course, are available to Club Members and Garnet Members only.

Garnet Members can enjoy 90-days of access to Balsam’s incredible array of amenities including fine dining, the expanding equestrian center and riding trails, the Ruby Valley Fitness and Wellness Pavilion plus its junior Olympic heated pool and two Har-Tru tennis courts and exclusive social events.
