City of Round Rock selects KemperSports to manage Forest Creek Golf Club

(RELEASE) - The City of Round Rock has selected KemperSports to manage Forest Creek Golf Club – an 18-hole championship golf course located in the Sports Capital of Texas. The partnership between KemperSports and the City will allow for both organizations to align goals as the course embarks on a significant two-year renovation project that starts in 2017.

KemperSports will utilize the company’s more than 30 years of experience to guide the City through the renovation process and re-brand Forest Creek as the course looks toward a bright future of exceptional municipal golf.

“Building on a great foundation, we feel KemperSports is the best partner to guide Forest Creek through the renovation process,” Mayor Alan McGraw said. “Their experience in managing some of the top municipal courses in the country will be a tremendous asset to residents of Round Rock and Central Texas golfers.”

Forest Creek Golf Club was built by the City of Round Rock more than 25 years ago to provide an unmatched public golf option for local golfers and surrounding communities. The Dick Phelps-designed golf course that opened in 1990 will undergo a renovation that includes improvements to the course’s flood mitigation capabilities, routing changes, bunker improvements and turf enhancements. The goal of the renovation will be to improve overall playability with a strong focus on environmental standards and year-round course conditioning.

“Forest Creek Golf Club has great potential to be a top municipal golf course,” KemperSports CEO Steve Skinner said. “We look forward to working with the City of Round Rock on improvements to the property and the golf experience.”
