The Sea Pines Resort Named Among GOLF Magazine's Top 100 Golf Resorts

Iconic Resort Cited Among Top Five Resorts in Overall Excellence Category

(HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C.) — The Sea Pines Resort has been named a Top 100 Golf Resort in the inaugural rankings from GOLF Magazine.  The Resort was recognized for overall excellence.

On an island where golf is king, Harbour Town Golf Links is true royalty.  Legends of the game have competed each year since 1969 in the PGA TOUR’s RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing.  Joined by the highly acclaimed Heron Point by Pete Dye and Atlantic Dunes by Davis Love III, the three courses at The Sea Pines Resort are continually ranked among the best in the world, individually unique and unforgettable.

The resort’s luxurious lodging option, The Inn & Club at Harbour Town, showcases elegant décor with legendary service and a host of premium complimentary amenities. Guest rooms are fitted with modern furnishings and conveniences, accented by crisp Egyptian cotton linens and design elements inspired by the natural beauty of the South Carolina Lowcountry.

“We are so honored to be recognized by GOLF Magazine on this prestigious list,” said Steve Birdwell, President, The Sea Pines Resort.  “This is a testament to the quality of our golf courses and true Southern hospitality.”

All guests at The Sea Pines Resort also enjoy five miles of sandy beach shoreline, a 15-mile network of paths for hiking and biking, fishing, water sports, horseback riding, and an abundance of Hilton Head attractions, including the iconic Harbour Town Lighthouse.

The GOLF Magazine editorial team considered 243 resorts across North America, and then conducted an online poll of 3,700 golfers to rate each resort based on golf experiences, accommodations, service, food and ambience. The results are North America’s top 100 resorts and appear in the October 2019 issue.  In addition to overall excellence, the list includes resorts in the family, buddy trip and luxury categories.

To make a visit to Hilton Head even easier, visitors now have seven direct flight options. American, Delta and United airlines fly directly into Hilton Head Island Airport (HHH) from New York (LaGuardia), Washington (Reagan and Dulles), Newark, Charlotte, Atlanta, and Chicago.
