(Monroe Township, N.J.) — Forsgate Country Club congratulates Frank Esposito, a member of its Teaching Professional staff, on qualifying for the 2020 Senior PGA Professional Championship that will be contested in Port St. Lucie, Florida, October 15-18. Esposito earned a playing spot in the national tournament by finishing second at this week’s New Jersey Senior PGA Professional Championship at Navesink Country Club in Middletown.
In spite of this year’s shortened NJ PGA schedule of tournaments due to the pandemic, Esposito is having another strong season and currently is ranked the No. 1 NJ PGA Section Senior Player of the Year.
Esposito, 57, is considered by many as New Jersey’s best senior golfer. He has played in PGA TOUR Champions Tour tournaments, competed in the U.S. Open and in two PGA Championships. In 2014, he won the prestigious Senior PGA Professional National Championship. Esposito has a stellar New Jersey golf resume. He is a two-time NJ Open champion, a three-time NJ Senior Open Championship winner, and is a member of the New Jersey PGA Hall of Fame.
