(MEMPHIS, Tenn.) — The world’s number one player once again trusted his short game to the number one shaft in the history of golf, Dynamic Gold, for a dominating win at the World Golf Championship-Bridgestone Invitational this weekend. This was his 79th PGA TOUR career win—all won with Dynamic Gold in the bag.
The Bridgestone Invitational champion won by seven strokes at the notoriously fierce Firestone Country Club course, and led by at least six shots throughout the final round. This was his eighth win at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational which matches his own record of victories at a single tournament and makes him a favorite at this week’s PGA Championship.
“Firestone is an incredibly challenging course for even the best players in the world, so to see the Bridgestone Champion maintain such a huge lead throughout the final two round is a testament his great play,” said Chad Hall, director of product marketing and global tour operations for True Temper Sports. “All of us here at True Temper congratulate him on his 10th five-win season of his career.”
Dynamic Gold was also in the winner’s circle at the Mylan Classic on the Web.com Tour. The winner fired a final round 67 to win by five with Dynamic Gold X100 in the bag.
