The newly renovated Countryside Golf & Country Club recently won first place in the 2025 Idea Fair at the Club Management Association of America (CMAA) World Conference and Club Business Expo.
As part of its two-year $14.2 million project of enhancements at the club, Countryside General Manager and Chief Operating Officer Joe Smith added a creative way to highlight new menu items at the club’s various restaurants.
One Bite Review is a weekly pre-produced video featuring Smith, Clubhouse Manager Scott Ortiz and a different club member each week, that introduces new menu items to the club. The member is invited to taste, rate the item on a 1-to-10 scale and enjoy the full meal. This initiative allows the members to be among the first to try new dishes and has become a fun, engaging method to share menu updates with the community.
CMAA awarded Countryside with the first-place honor out of more than 300 entries at its annual conference and expo in Tampa earlier this year.
“We’re thrilled to receive this award,” Smith said. “One Bite Review is just one of the many initiatives we have undertaken to enhance our offerings to our members and to keep the club at the forefront of the country club industry.”
