Product Review: Swiftwick Socks

In whatever arena you find yourself – work, play, etc. – if you’re feet are miserable, you’re miserable. The golf course is no exception (and multiplied by 100 if you’re walking and carrying your clubs).

Because comfort is so important, I choose Swiftwick socks. What began with a mountain biker racer’s desire for a high-performance sock that fit well and wicked moisture, has grown into a revolution. Swiftwick now makes socks for running/trail running, hiking, fitness, hockey, snow sports, lifestyle, business and … most importantly … golf. The company has taken the impressive step of catering to adaptive/amputee athletes, as well.

I prefer the company’s no-show socks while on the golf course, but they also make ankle, quarter crew, crew and knee-high varieties.

I’ve recently added three no-shows and a quarter crew to my collection. One no-show was the company’s original sock, PERFORMANCE ($10.99). This sock has nylon in the heel and toe provide maximum durability and sits just below the ankle and is barely visible when wearing shoes. The quarter crew ($14.99) have all the construction benefits of the no-show and will be worn when pants are needed on the course. It’s also Swiftwick’s most popular sock height for cycling.

Swiftwick’s ASPIRE sock ($13.99) takes no-show to a new level with its ultra-thin construction. You’ll forget you’re wearing socks with this one. As you can imagine, runners love the Aspire with its firm compression that supports every contour of the foot to reduce fatigue during endurance activities. A channeled upper improves breathability.

My favorite (yes, I play favorites) is the MAXUS ($13.99). This sock has the best of both worlds – a plush footbed that’s constructed using high-volume fibers to wick moisture 40 percent better than competitive materials and a thin, lightweight upper to increase breathability. The MAXUS is THE ideal golf sock … and popular for fitness and running, too.

Treat yourself – and your feet – to comfort on and off the golf course. Visit www.swiftwick.com and order some of the best socks on the market today.
