Leupold GX2i2 Named Product of the Month on GolfTalk Live

(PHILADELPHIA, Pa.) - The GX-2i², Leupold's fully customizable golf rangefinder, has been named Product of the Month for June on the award-winning GolfTalk Live radio show.

Already the premiere name in golf rangefinders, Leupold unleashed the full-featured customizable GX-2i² early in 2016. Added benefits of the GX-2i² are the True Golf RangeTM (TGR) and Club Selector. Together, they provide ranging information matched to a golfer's personal hitting strength, slope of the shot, current environmental conditions, and automatically recommends the appropriate club for each shot.

Leupold's PinHunter 2 Laser Technology and Fog Mode are both included making the GX-2i² accurate in all weather conditions. Prism Lock Technology is also included meaning unmatched ranging despite movement and unsteady hands.

"Leupold already had a great golf reputation after their line of rangefinders blew away the competition - in the categories of features and price -- last year," explains show host Tony Leodora. "It's unbelievable that they were able to pack even more technology into this year's model. I am very impressed with all of the golf products Leupold is bringing to market."

The GX-2i² rangefinder is rugged, compact and completely waterproof. It is USGA Rule 14-3 compliant through an on/off menu choice.

"Our new GX-2i2 laser rangefinder can be easily customized to an individual golfer's needs and used as a handy tool to improve any golfer's game," said Rob Morrison, vice president, global marketing for Leupold & Stevens, Inc. "The GX-2i² provides laser-accurate ranging information and club recommendations-customized to your own hitting distances-at the push of a button. It's like having a personal caddie, without the personal caddie price."

On Facebook and Twitter throughout the month of June, there will be an update each week about a different feature of the GX-2i². It also will be highlighted on the homepage and special Product of the Month section of GolfTalkLive.net.

William McGirt Captures First Career PGA Tour Title at The Memorial

(HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA) – Trusting the tour-validated performance of his Srixon and Cleveland Golf equipment, William McGirt prevailed in a sudden-death playoff over fellow staffer Jon Curran to win the Memorial Tournament Presented by Nationwide on the PGA TOUR over the weekend at Muirfield Village Golf Club in Dublin, Ohio. Srixon and Cleveland Golf congratulate both McGirt and Curran for their best career TOUR finishes.

McGirt finished regulation tied with Curran at 15-under par. After both players made par on the first playoff hole, the par-4 18th, they played the hole again. McGirt seized the title with a par that topped Curran’s bogey.

McGirt’s first career PGA TOUR victory is a testament to his perseverance. The 36-year-old native of Lumberton, North Carolina, turned professional in 2004 and had not won an event on any circuit since 2007. Now in his sixth season on the PGA TOUR, he captured the $1.53 million winner’s check in his 165th start.

“I've always been one to kind of keep my head down and do what I do. My wife can tell you that, when I was on mini tours, I would go out and practice hours and hours and hours. My goal was to get to the PGA TOUR, and I was willing to do whatever it took to get here,” said McGirt. “Once I got a taste of what it was like to have a little bit of success, then I just wanted to win.”

With this breakthrough victory, McGirt has made some big moves:
· Jumps to 10th (from 37th) in the FedEx Cup standings;
· Catapults to 44th (from 102nd) in the Official World Golf Rankings; and,
· Moves to 15th (from 50th) in the United States Ryder Cup team points standings.
Curran, who was making his first appearance at the Memorial, vaulted to 36th in the FedEx Cup standings with his runner-up finish and earned $918,000. He also finished second in a playoff at the 2015 Puerto Rico Open.

Premium Golf Brands Introduces Rosemark Grips

(RELEASE) - The Rosemark putter grip has come into great prominence in the last year as it is used by one of the hottest golfers on the planet, World No. 1 Lydia Ko. She has won two major championships using the Rosemark grip.  Rosemark offers “tension free putting" for all golfers due to the unique patented shape which perfectly “maps” the golfer’s hand.  Rosemark putter grips are now available to book for June delivery through Premium Golf Brands, which also owns and distributes SeeMore putters.

Rosemark grips were created when Mark Cokewell, the CEO and Founder of Rosemark, wanted to create a putter grip that fit better in a golfers hand, with a more consistently squared set up, more control, and less tension. He mapped the hand using experts in biomechanics.  He then also studied other sports and activities where a square, consistent grip is required, and started creating prototypes, with regular input from the worlds best teachers and players.

What Rosemark’s development team came up with was a truly revolutionary, yet pleasingly simple and intuitive, design. All Rosemark grips share the same patented and premium design of a beautifully textured, tapered shape in several sizes with multiple angles in a hexagon shape around the grip, which completely conform to the shape of a hand. Rosemark helps the golfer set up square and keep the putter head square at set up and during the stroke, with the same minimal grip pressure that the best players in the world use.

World No. 1 LPGA sensation Lydia Ko has used a Rosemark 1.52 grip for her last six victories including her second major in a row by winning the year’s first major the ANA Inspiration and earning the legendary leap into Poppies Pond. Ko became No. 1 in the world last year and has continued her dominance in 2016. Ko first tested the grip while working with her team of instructors last year. Tests on the course and in the lab revealed that her putting performance improved with the Rosemark grip in every measurable statistic.

The Rosemark brand has won three major championships in less than a year and has also been used with great success during 2016 by current PGA Tour star Russell Knox, No. 3 in the 2016 FedEx Cup rankings.

Troon Launches Women's Golf Month

Troon Facilities Hosting Get Into Golf Clinics, Social Events and More During Month of June

(Scottsdale, Ariz.) – In a continued effort to grow the game of golf, and following a successful Player Development Month in May, Troon facilities throughout the country will celebrate “Troon Women’s Golf Month” throughout the month of June. While Troon focuses on growing participation among all genders and age groups throughout the year, Troon facilities, Troon Golf Academies and their respective teaching professionals are joining together to host introductory golf clinics, fun social events, and special playing opportunities all month long. Like other “Play Troon” endeavors, the goal of this effort is to introduce more golfers to the game and to Troon facilities.

During the month of June (and throughout the year), Troon facilities are continuing to offer new “Get Into Golf” clinics. The Get Into Golf program provides all the tools necessary to give golf a test run, including golf clubs and golf balls, practice range time, a weekly ‘intro to golf’ clinic and ending with a three-hole test run – so participants can get a taste of what it’s like to be on a golf course in a friendly, fun and non-competitive atmosphere.

“Troon facilities and their respective PGA and LPGA teaching professionals certainly are dedicated to growing the game and introducing more golfers to the game,” said Ryan Walls, senior vice president, Troon. “This month our respective clubs and teaching professionals amplify their effort to grow the game whether it be with specific playing opportunities, Nine & Dines, or additional Get Into Golf clinics. The goal with this and our other ‘Play Troon’ initiatives is to make the entry point into golf more accessible, inviting and fun, while introducing more players to the game and to our family of clubs.”

Visit www.TroonGolf.com/Women or call the club nearest you to learn more about specific Troon Women’s Golf Month programs. For more information on all of Troon’s “grow the game” initiatives, visit www.PlayTroon.com.

Events in June are geared towards women, but all are welcome to participate. Troon and Troon affiliated facilities do not discriminate against anyone on the basis of sex, race, color, religion, ancestry, national origin, disability, medical condition, genetic information, marital status, or sexual orientation.
