FORE Georgia Reports on Recent Success of Georgians on PGA, Champions, Web.com Tours

(MARIETTA, GA) - FORE Georgia (www.ForeGeorgia.com), the "Official Golfers' Magazine of the Georgia PGA," reported on the success Georgians had on the PGA, Champions and Web.com Tours this past weekend.

It was a clean sweep as a trio of Georgia golfers captured victories at the Wyndham Championship (PGA), Boeing Classic (Champions) and News Sentinel Open (Web.com).

Davis Love, a St. Simons resident, became the third oldest winner in PGA Tour history, taking the Wyndham Championship in Greensboro, N.C., for the third time. Love shot a final round 64 to win by a shot with a 17-under 263 total, coming from four behind after 54 holes. The victory gets Love into the FedExCup Playoffs after beginning the week 186 on the points list. He also earns a spot in the 2016 Masters. The victory was the first for the 51-year-old Love since 2008.

Atlanta's Billy Andrade scored his first individual victory on the Champions Tour, winning the Boeing Classic in Seattle. Andrade, part of the winning team in the Legends of Golf earlier this year, survived a triple bogey in the final round to shoot 73 and win by one over Bernhard Langer with a 9-under 207 total.

Patton Kizzire, like Love a St. Simons resident, scored his second Web.com Tour victory of 2015, winning by four shots in Knoxville after closing with back-to-back 64s for a 20-under 264 total. Kizzire leads the tour in earnings and is enjoying one of the best seasons in tour history with two runner-up showings and two other top-4 finishes.
