(SOUTHERN PINES, N.C.) - Eaton announced that its Golf Pride Grips Division was the most used swing and putter grip brand during the centennial PGA Championship at the challenging Bellerive Country Club. With this year’s champion utilizing Golf Pride’s swing and putter grips, Golf Pride has now been used by 8 of the last 10 Wanamaker Trophy winners, with a noteworthy seven-year title streak.

At the close of 2018 Majors, the brand has earned a total of 86 swing grip wins with the closest competitor at 15 and Golf Pride’s putter grips have captured twice as many wins as the nearest competitor. The #1 Grip in Golf was played by 10 of 11 players who finished in the Top 10, and overall, 124 players competing in the season’s final major trusted their games to Golf Pride. Of the 20 PGA Professionals playing in the 2018 PGA Championship, a commanding 19 players relied on Golf Pride as they competed at the game’s highest level.

“It’s an incredible honor to have such a strong presence at the 100th PGA Championship among PGA Club Professionals and TOUR players alike, which is a testament to our focus on innovation, quality, and service,” said Brandon Sowell, global sales and marketing director for Golf Pride. “The meticulous detail that we put into our grip design and manufacturing is validated each week by the sheer number of TOUR pros choosing to play our grips without any endorsements. Equally rewarding are the usage numbers by PGA Professionals, those educators who re-grip for consumers and know the benefits their players can achieve by finding the right grip fit in the Golf Pride product line.”

Each week, Golf Pride is the leading grip played from tee-to-green on the PGA TOUR with an average of 80% of pros choosing Golf Pride swing grips in each event, without any paid endorsements.
