TITANS - Leaders in Industry & Golf Is Perfect Father’s Day Gift

33 CEOs Share how Golf Greatly Impacted their Lives and Businesses

(NEW YORK, N.Y.)  – Looking for a perfect gift to give the golfing dad this Father’s Day?  “Two Good Rounds TITANS – Leaders in Industry & Golf” explores the close connection between business and golf through interviews with 33 of the world’s most prominent CEOs, some of whom own their own golf courses, and eight legendary professional golfers who have created international brands well beyond their on-course earnings.

A must-read for the dad who plays golf, author Elisa Gaudet shares candid personal accounts from global business leaders who reveal secrets to their success in business, their love of golf, and how the two are related. Interviews include Peter Ueberroth, Herb Kohler, Donald Trump, Hans Peter Porsche, John D. Rockefeller Sr., Tom Cousins, Paul Fireman, Michael Smurfit, and many others, as well as Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, and Tiger Woods.

“Speaking with each of these individuals was fascinating as they all have taken different paths yet arrived in a very similar situations as leaders in an industry and owning or having a large interest in golf,” Gaudet said.  “They share business advice and life lessons.”

Gaudet will be signing books at this year’s U.S. Open Championship at Chambers Bay (University Place, Wash.), June 15-21, in the Main Merchandise Pavilion. The final round tees off on Sunday, June 21 – Father’s Day.

“My goal, as with the other books in this series, is to shine a light on the many incredible individuals who have a passion for golf and what a positive influence and game changer that golf has been for them in various ways,” Gaudet continued.  “Everyone from A-list athletes to successful business leaders and professional golfers share their professional successes and struggles along with their love of golf.”

Fathers have often played an important role in introducing golf to their children and grandchildren. When asked about his introduction to golf Michael Pascucci, owner of Sebonack, said, “My first memory was when I was six years old.  I remember my dad leaving the house at 5:00 am on Sunday, his only day off, to play golf on a public golf course. He was a landscaper who learned to play golf by being a caddie at the Engineers Club on Long Island, NY. He became a scratch golfer.” He added, “My four children play golf and my 11 grandchildren have all been introduced to the game.”

Andrew Sharpless, CEO of Oceana, wrote the book’s foreword.  A percentage of the proceeds from all sales will go to Oceana and ocean conservation.
