Rookie Minjee Lee Clinches First LPGA Tour Victory on Her 'Journey to Better'

(HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA) – XXIO, Srixon and Cleveland Golf congratulate staffer Minjee Lee for her victory at the 2015 Kingsmill Championship held at the Kingsmill Resort’s River Course, in Williamsburg, Virginia.  The 18-year-old Australian captured her first LPGA title in a Monday finish after making five birdies and an eagle for a four-stroke lead during Sunday’s rain delayed round.  Lee started Monday’s final round with a three-putt bogey on No. 16 before finishing par-par for a final round 65 and a two-stroke margin of victory.

“I didn’t think this moment would come this year, so I’m stoked to have won,” said Lee.  “I’ve had a pretty good start to the season, but I really didn’t see this coming.  Just because I won in my rookie season, I feel like I could probably do it again.”

Lee played with Srixon’s new 4th generation Z STAR ball with SpinSkin Technology, a XXIO 8 driver, a XXIO 7 fairway (#3 wood), a Srixon Z H45 hybrid (#3) a XXIO 7 hybrid (#4), Srixon Z 745 irons (5-PW), and Cleveland Golf 588 RTX 2.0 wedges (50°, 54°, 60°).  Lee, who has a Srixon logo on the side of her hat, wears a Srixon glove, and carries a Srixon bag.

The victory earned Lee $195,000 and moved her into 14th place on the 2015 LPGA Official Money List with current season earnings of $309,651.  Her victory at the Kingsmill Championship was Lee’s 11th start as a member of the LPGA Tour.
