KemperSports to Manage The Ridge Club

Premier Cape Cod Private Club Serves as the Centerpiece of Community

(NORTHBROOK, Ill.) – KemperSports has been selected to manage The Ridge Club in Sandwich, Mass. Built in 1990 with a goal of delivering a true sense of Cape Cod charm, the Ridge Club is recognized as one of the finest full-service family clubs in the region and was voted “The 2014 Best Private Club on Cape Cod” by Cape Cod Magazine.

The Club, which serves as the centerpiece of a 180-home gated community in the oldest town on Cape Cod, includes an 18-hole Robert von Hagge-designed golf course featuring #17, its’ signature hole, with the only island green on the Cape. Further amenities include a 40,000 square-foot clubhouse, swimming pool and a tennis complex. Perhaps the Club’s most unique amenity is a world-class whiffle ball field with scoreboard and left field wall modeled after Fenway Park’s Green Monster.

The Ridge Club hired KemperSports to enhance the member experience at the Club through implementation of KemperSports’ staff training programs, enhanced member social programming and consistency and quality of service. In addition, the Club will lean on KemperSports’ marketing expertise and ability to position The Ridge Club as the private club of choice on Cape Cod.

The Club is located less than 60 miles southeast of Boston in the charming oceanfront town of Sandwich, Mass. The Club was purchased in 2012 by a group of 12 Members, including hockey great Bobby Orr.

“As we look toward a bright future, we are confident KemperSports is the right partner for The Ridge Club,” said Bobby Orr.

“The Ridge Club is consistently mentioned as one of the finest Clubs in the Cape Cod region,” said KemperSports CEO Steve Skinner. “We look forward to working with the ownership at the Club to grow the programming and enhance the member and guest experience.”

This is KemperSports’ first club in the New England region.
