First Lady Michelle Obama Tries Her Hand at Golf with SNAG

Part of Let’s Move! to keep kids active

(Tahlequah, Okla.) – President Obama apparently isn’t the only golfer in the family. First Lady Michelle Obama was introduced to SNAG Golf Feb. 25 during her visit to the Gwen Cherry Park NFL/YET Center in Miami, Florida. The visit was part of a celebration around the fourth anniversary of Lets Move!, her initiative to ensure that all children grow up healthy and reach their full potential.

SNAG, a global leader in player development and grow-the-game initiatives with unique equipment and training tools, has partnered with Miami Parks and the National Recreation and Park Association in order to introduce golf to kids throughout south Florida.

SNAG is currently used in 42 countries and 15,000 schools around the world.  SNAG incorporates developmentally appropriate equipment and programming that allows golf to be learned and played in non-traditional venues, such as on a soccer field, in a gym, on the beach or any open space.  It can be taught and played anywhere with immediate, positive results.  This instant success keeps new learners wanting to be further involved with golf.
