(Brentwood, TN)

In addition to McCammon, the NextLinks Board includes golf course designer Agustín Pizá, Golf Channel analyst Brandel Chamblee, former CIO of the Dallas Cowboys, Pete Walsh, World Golf Hall of Famer Nancy Lopez, former Commissioner of the LPGA Charlie Mechem and several other distinguished business and sports leaders.

“I was honored to be asked to join the NextLinks Board,” said McCammon, a PGA Professional who has spent the past 25 years working with junior golfers and growing the game at the grassroots level.  “The NextLinks facilities that will be built across the country will all have a dedicated space within the arenas for young kids to learn the game of golf in a fun and non-competitive environment. The Payne Stewart Kids Golf Programs is the feeder system to all the existing junior golf initiatives including Youth on Course and The First Tee.  I look forward to great things ahead with my partners at NextLinks.”

The Payne Stewart Kids Golf Foundation, established in 2020, is the fundraising entity behind the Payne Stewart Golf Experiences (Camps & Clinics), a true introductory golf program designed to compete with Little Kickers soccer, T-ball and other youth sport development programs.

Targeting kids ages 4-9, the games-based play programming and the use of modified golf learning equipment will make it easier for kids to hit the ball and experience early success.

Using unconventional spaces to bring golf to the masses, the camps and clinics make any gymnasium, parking lot or soccer field a golf learning center to teach children the fundamentals of both golf and life.

The camps and clinics will advance Payne’s vision by creating new golf spaces that give more families with kids the ability to learn and play golf, especially to kids in need and inner-city families.
