College Golf Experience Announces New Las Vegas Showcase Camp

Premier junior camp highlights coaches from both 2021 National Championship teams.

(LOS ANGELES, CA) — College Golf Experience (CGX), announces a new Las Vegas Showcase Camp December 4-5, prior to the GCAA Conference. It will be the first camp ever to feature coaches from both the men’s and women’s defending National Championship teams.

CGX, exclusively endorsed by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA), provides a new pathway to college golf by offering junior golfers access to college coaches, which helps them learn about collegiate golf and the recruiting process, showcase their talents, and set and achieve their goals.

The Las Vegas Showcase Camp will be held at Desert Pines Golf Club and Las Vegas Golf Club.

Registration is now open for this camp at https://collegegolfx.com/las-vegas-showcase-camp/.

Register by November 13 to receive the early bird rate. Campers will engage in skills challenges, two simulated collegiate practice and tournament rounds, education / Q & A sessions, and will receive special welcome gifts from sponsors.

The Las Vegas Showcase Camp will initially feature four collegiate coaches, including those from Pepperdine and Ole Miss -- winners of the 2021 men’s and women’s National Championship teams, respectively. Coaches include Ole Miss – Kory Henkes, Women’s Head Coach (2021 National Champions), Pepperdine – Blaine Woodruff, Men’s Associate Head Coach (2021 National Champions), Arizona – Laura Ianello, Women’s Head Coach (NCAA National Semi-Finalist), and Arizona State – Armen Kirakossian, Men’s Assistant Coach (2020 Palmer Cup Assistant Coach-2019 Top Assistant Coach in the Country).

“I am very excited to participate in the first CGX camp in Las Vegas alongside so many other

talented coaches, to develop a new pathway to college golf,” said Henkes. “It’s rewarding to provide insight into life as a college golfer, and the key aspects for the juniors and parents to understand during the process to help them realize their dreams of playing college golf.”

CGX camps are a tremendous opportunity for young people ages 8-18 to learn from and interact with multiple coaches in an immersive fun and educational setting. Camps include instruction, engagement with coaches in simulated collegiate practice and tournament rounds, and educational seminars with Q&A sessions about the recruiting process. This provides the opportunity for college coaches to create unique and transformational experiences for junior golfers at all stages of development with an emphasis on aspiring collegiate student-athletes.
