Troon Names Shot Scope “Preferred Retail Partner”

Partnership Aligns World’s Largest Golf Management Company with Leading International Manufacturer of GPS-Based Golf Management Systems

(Scottsdale, Ariz.) – Troon, the world’s largest golf management company, today announced that Shot Scope, a leading international manufacturer of GPS-based golf management systems, has become a Troon “Preferred Retail Partner.” The new alliance provides Troon customers and members with special access to products and programs designed to enhance on-course performance tracking and game management.

“Troon provides first-class golf experiences to thousands of players at 585-plus locations around the globe,” said Kris Strauss, Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Troon. “By aligning with Shot Scope, Troon can further enhance that experience with innovative game management technology and resources. And equally important, through Shot Scope’s established international footprint, this is the perfect partnership to further connect with golfers around the world.”

One of 2020’s breakthrough golf innovations, Shot Scope’s V3 Smart Golf Watch features patented Power-Sense AI strap technology that captures data on every shot, delivering golfers instant feedback to better understand their swing and reach optimal performance.  The technology creates an ever-increasing volume and accuracy of data collected from the golfer during play, leading to more insights and statistics that help the player understand their game better, improve on-course strategy and shoot lower scores. The more rounds the golfer plays with V3, the smarter the AI technology becomes - eventually producing highly refined settings that are personal to that individual.

Complementing the performance tracking capabilities, the V3 is the game’s most accurate lightweight, high speed golf watch, backed by proprietary dual GPS antennas (30cm GPS accuracy) that provide unmatched connectivity and synching, compared with competitive products, for precise distance measuring and pinpoint accuracy on 35,000 pre-loaded courses worldwide.

“We are thrilled to become a preferred retail partner with Troon and have the opportunity to connect with their mass audience of avid golfers,” said David Hunter, CEO, Shot Scope. “With products like our V3, artificial Intelligence in a smart golf watch is a game-changer, as it provides golfers with real-time game tracking data like never before. Our technologies are proven to make golfers better and smarter, on and off the course, and we are excited to integrate our products and programs with Troon through this GPS alliance.”

Strauss adds, “Integrating Shot Scope into the Partners Program, alongside an award-winning list of leading companies and brands, allows Troon to deliver a unique solution that authentically aligns their brand’s identity with a passionately engaged and affluent audience of golfers.”

In addition to Shot Scope’s V3 Smart Golf Watch, Troon golfers will be introduced to the PRO L1 Laser Rangefinder, the company’s first high-performance laser rangefinder, the lightweight, easy-to-use PRO L1 is the perfect combination of size, accuracy, and innovation. The PRO L1 is highlighted by Advanced Slope Technology, providing golfers with compensated distance whether a target is uphill or downhill from their location, and accurate up to 3.6 inches. With six-times magnification, the PRO L1 has a range of up to 875 yards, meaning the flagstick is always within reach.

Hunter adds, “Shot Scope technology has been used by tens of thousands of golfers worldwide recording more than 80 million shots, and our data shows that amateur golfers improve by three strokes thanks to the unique fusion of accurate distance information and automatic performance tracking technology. This is an exciting time for our company, and now through this Troon partnership, the possibilities are endless.”
