Convention South Readers’ Choice Awards Bestow Distinction on Branson (MO) Hotels and Resorts

Multiple Golf Destination Meetings and Events Venues, Organizations Garner Top Honors

(Branson, Missouri) – Five Branson properties and organizations were honored for their excellence in Convention South’s 2020 Annual Readers’ Choice Awards this week, underscoring the superlative options that meeting and event planners have when seeking golf with group events.

Thousand Hills Golf Resort and Big Cedar Lodge were both rewarded for their top-notch offerings. Together they are home to an array of event space venues (indoor and out) and a combined six golf courses – including the top two in Missouri (source: Golfweek’s Best Courses You Can Play 2020). A variety of lodging, meeting, amenities, and state-of-the-art event space choices are available for customized event planning.

Branson Convention Center was the third town honoree. Located next to waterfront Branson Landing on one side, historic Downtown Branson on the other, it adjoins Branson Hilton Convention Center Hotel, which partners with Branson Hills Golf Club in providing stay-and-play packages for golfers. Branson Hills is also perennially one of Golfweek’s Best Courses You Can Play.

Perched high upon a hill overlooking Table Rock Lake, Chateau on the Lake Resort Spa and Conference Center is a scenic, smoke-free hotel just 10 minutes from downtown. It, along with Branson Convention & Visitors Bureau, complete the five Branson honorees.

“From weddings and reunions, to conventions and business meetings, Branson has something ideal to meet the needs of planners,” said Lynn Berry, Branson CVB, Director of Communications. “Large or small, straightforward or unique, Branson’s inventory is deep and versatile, able to satisfy a large spectrum of event needs and wants.”

While these five honorees were recognized for their excellence, there are dozens of other high quality choices in Branson. There are also three other golf courses in the destination (10 total) – The Pointe, LedgeStone, and Holiday Hills – all close to one another and open to the public.

A variety of event planners like to offer golf to participants, ranging from rounds, tournaments, or instructional clinics, to night golf and themed events. In addition to several Branson golf courses holding best-in-kind acclaim, the overall destination has been recognized as the fastest-growing, most-compelling place in America to play. This, due to several new courses opening in the past few years, including designs by Tiger Woods, Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, Tom Fazio, and Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw.
