Mystic Creek Golf Club Named No.1 Golf Course You Can Play In Arkansas By Golfweek

(Scottsdale, Ariz.) – Mystic Creek Golf Club in El Dorado, Arkansas has been recognized as the No. 1 Golf Course You Can Play in Arkansas by Golfweek in the publication’s "2019 Best Courses You Can Play in Each State" list. Managed by Troon’s Honours Golf division, Mystic Creek is an 18-hole, Kenneth Dye, Jr-designed course.

Open since May 2013, Mystic Creek Golf Club is nestled among the cathedral pines of southern central Arkansas. Just after opening in 2013, the semi-private course was named one of the “Best New Courses” by Golf Digest. With impeccable course conditions and outstanding service, Mystic Creek continues to be recognized as the regions premier course. A new clubhouse will open at Mystic Creek in 2020 adding high-quality food, beverage and function options for a multitude of events to the already remarkable property. The facility proudly hosts the Symetra Tour’s Murphy USA El Dorado Shootout as well as the Duck Commander’s NCAA Intercollegiate Championship.

Among the criteria used by Golfweek's panel of course raters include:
- Ease and intimacy of routing - The extent to which the sequence of holes follows natural contours and unfolds in an unforced manner.
- Variety and memorability of par 3s, 4s and 5s - Different clubs hit; extent to which the angles of play create interesting and varied playing options; and extent to which holes offer variety of options from the tee and on the second shot.
- Basic quality of conditioning - Variety of playing textures; extent of turf coverage; consistency and quality of bunker sand.
- Walk in the park test - Degree to which the course ultimately is worth spending a half-day on.
