Arcis Golf Embarks on Renovation of Tour Course at Weston Hills Country Club

Ongoing Transformation, Invigoration of Prominent Ft. Lauderdale Area Lifestyle Club

(DALLAS, Texas) – Arcis Golf’s transformation of Weston Hills Country Club takes a major step this week with the start of renovation work on the Tour Course, one of the private club’s two 18-hole Robert Trent Jones, Jr. designs.

The Tour Course, once home of the PGA TOUR’s Honda Classic, is undergoing a complete bunkering renovation, installation of Celebration Bermudagrass on all fairways and building a new short-game area. The multimillion-dollar project is under the direction of award-winning Fry-Straka Global Golf Course Design and is scheduled to be complete this fall. The Players Course will remain open for play throughout the project.

“We have a true jewel here that is getting the polish it deserves,” said Eric von Hofen, General Manager, whose career includes management of elite venues and PGA Tour events in Florida, Ohio and California. “Weston Hills is an important part of this community and our mission is to breathe new life into this special place. It is an exciting time at Weston Hills.”

Arcis Golf, which took over operations of the club last August , has invested significant resources to upgrade and invigorate facilities, programming and amenities at Weston Hills, which is considered the preeminent luxury lifestyle club in the greater Fort Lauderdale area. Throughout the club, extensive modernization has encompassed landscaping, clubhouse and event spaces, and new food and beverage offerings.

“As stewards of one of the most venerable private clubs in South Florida, we are proud to be part of an exciting future at Weston Hills Country Club,” said Blake Walker, Founder and CEO of Arcis Golf. “Arcis is committed to building upon the superior reputation of Weston Hills by significantly enhancing the contemporary member experience and lifestyle, both on and off the golf course.”

Arcis Golf is the second largest owner-operator of private, resort, and daily fee clubs in the United States, with a collection of 65 properties in 14 states from coast to coast. These clubs offer memorable golf experiences, each promotes a family-oriented lifestyle, and is committed to providing life-long sports programming, arts and entertainment offerings, and experiential dining.

“Around the country, we are thoroughly reinventing each of our clubs to be more relevant to today’s consumers and their families,” said Walker. “We are reimagining the way our members and guests live, connect, and play.”
