Troon Selected to Manage Lake Presidential Golf Club in Upper Marlboro, Maryland

(Scottsdale, Ariz.) – Troon, the leader in golf course management, development, and marketing, has been selected to manage Lake Presidential Golf Club, a semi-private club in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Troon Golf, the resort and daily-fee club operations division of Troon, will manage the golf, restaurant and club operations at Lake Presidential Golf Club.

Located approximately 22 miles east of Washington DC, Lake Presidential Golf Club is part of the beautiful Beechtree Community. The golf course opened in 2008 and is one of Maryland’s most popular courses, having been named No. 2 on Golfweek’s “Best Courses You Can Play in Maryland” list in 2016. The par 72, 7,230-yard layout meanders through heavily wooded and rolling terrain.

“Our team is ready to get started at Lake Presidential,” said Mike Ryan, chief operating officer, Troon. “The golf course layout is excellent and the recently refreshed clubhouse is beautiful. Our agronomy, food and beverage, and club operations teams will now look to enhance an already stellar property.”

The club’s 11,000-square-foot clubhouse features a golf shop, restaurant, and event facilities that can accommodate up to 275 guests. The Grille at Lake Presidential offers a beautiful setting for breakfast, lunch and dinner with panoramic views of 30-acre Lake Presidential.

“We are very excited to bring Troon Golf on board at Lake Presidential as we continue to elevate the brand and service offering at our club,” said Abdul Barazi on behalf of the ownership group. “Their corporate culture and philosophy is strong and aligns well with our vision for Lake Presidential and the Beechtree community.  We want our residents, members, and guests to have exceptional and memorable experiences that are unmatched in the region.”
