Five Dollar Rounds Now Available at the “Cradle of American Golf”

(PEBBLE BEACH, CA) — Youth on Course — the non-profit organization providing young people with subsidized golf, college scholarships, paid internships and a caddie program – has partnered with world-renowned Pinehurst Resort and Country Club to include select golf courses to its portfolio of 900-plus member properties.

Youth on Course members may play courses No. 1, 3 and 5 for the usual rate of just five dollars. The addition of Pinehurst now headlines an impressive stable of U.S. golf courses in the Youth on Course portfolio. Members can take advantage of discounted rates at 34 different golf courses included in Golfweek’s “Best Courses You Can Play” list. To find a complete list of locations, visit here.

“We are honored and thrilled to announce a partnership with America’s most storied golf destination,” says Adam Heieck, Youth on Course Executive Director. “As Pinehurst opens its doors to welcome our program, members nationwide have the opportunity to experience one of golf’s most revered properties.”

Known as the “Cradle of American Golf,” Pinehurst boasts a wide variety of golfing options, including nine championship courses and The Cradle, a nine-hole short course referred to by Golf Channel as, “the most fun 10 acres in all of golf.”

“We take the future of our game very seriously at Pinehurst,” says Tom Pashley, President of Pinehurst Resort. “Along with the recent addition of The Cradle, Youth on Course perfectly aligns with our goal of making golf as fun and accessible as possible for golfers of all ages and skill levels.”

With more than 40,000 members on pace to complete 115,000 rounds at 900-plus golf courses nationwide, Youth on Course continues to gain momentum in the golf community. Since 2017, partnerships with state and regional golf associations have increased by 120 percent, which positions the organization more than halfway to its goal of providing affordable golf to kids in all 50 states.

In addition to subsidized rounds, the organization also facilitates college scholarships, paid internships and a caddie program. Since the inception of the scholarship program in 2008, Youth on Course has awarded 222 students with scholarships totaling more than $1.4 million in financial support. The current Youth on Course scholarship retention rate is ninety-eight percent, with 53 students already graduated.
