Troon Selected to Manage Chateau Elan Golf Club in Braselton, Georgia

(Scottsdale, Ariz.) – Troon, the leader in golf management, development, and marketing, has been selected to manage the golf operations and clubhouse food and beverage operations at Château Élan Golf Club in Braselton, Georgia. Owned by an affiliate of Wheelock Street Capital, the 45-hole club is located approximately 40 minutes northeast of Atlanta and is part of the beautiful Château Élan Winery & Resort.

Château Élan recently completed an extensive clubhouse renovation and expansion. Designed by Blur Workshop, an Atlanta-based architectural firm, the golf clubhouse now includes a new front porch and players’ lounge, a newly redesigned golf shop, expanded locker rooms with new finishes and fixtures as well as a new roof, paint and landscaping around the exterior. The club’s restaurant has been rebranded as “The Sarazen Bar & Grille” and now includes a large central bar, an open dining room layout, an entirely new 1,053 square-foot back porch for outdoor dining and a new “backyard” area with lounge seating and fire pits for before or after dinner enjoyment.

Château Élan Golf Club features two 18-hole championship golf courses and a 9-hole par 3 Short Course – all three courses are open to resort and daily-fee play. The Club’s Château Course opened in 1989 and was designed by Denis Griffiths. The 7,030-yard, par-71 course winds along three lakes and two creeks with water coming into play on 10 of the 18 holes. The Woodlands Course, also a Denis Griffith’s design, opened for play in 1996. The rolling hills and tree-lined fairways of this stunning 6,735-yard, par-72 course, provide spectacular views on nearly every hole. The Club’s Short Course is located behind the Inn at Château Élan and features beautifully landscaped holes varying in length from 100 yards to more than 200 yards.

“Château Élan is a stunning property,” said Mitch Harrell, president, Troon Golf. “We’re excited about the recent clubhouse enhancements and improvements made around the club. Our golf and F&B teams will now look to enhance the entire guest experience at the Château Élan Golf Club.”

Château Élan’s “Wee Links” short game practice facility offers a place for guests to practice putting, chipping, pitching and bunker play. To assist guests in further improving their short-games, Château Élan is now home to a Dave Pelz Golf School, with one-day clinics as well as two and three-day schools available throughout the year. In addition to outstanding golf, Château Élan also features an award-winning winery, resort, conference center, eight restaurants, a spa, tennis center and an equestrian center.

“We are excited to have two industry leaders as our golf partners,” said Keith Manning, VP of Asset Management for Wheelock Street Capital. “Troon and Dave Pelz Golf are both considered frontrunners in their respective fields.”
