Michael Breed Announced as PGA Ambassador for BERMUDA 3s presented by Goslings

(HAMILTON, BERMUDA) – BERMUDA 3s presented by Goslings – an exciting new golf championship contested by pro-am teams from four international territories -- announces renowned instructor Michael Breed as PGA Ambassador.

Known for his “Let’s Do This!” mantra and infectious attitude, Breed will lead a team alongside three amateur golfers competing in BERMUDA 3s Oct. 21-26. He will promote, preview and report onsite about Bermuda 3s on his SiriusXM PGA TOUR Radio show, “A New Breed of Golf,” airing Monday – Friday 8 to 10 a.m.

BERMUDA 3s is the creation of former PGA of America CEO Joe Steranka and Honda Classic Executive Director Ken Kennerly. Sponsored by the Bermuda Tourism Authority and Goslings, PGA professionals from the U.S., Canada, Great Britain & Ireland and Continental Europe will lead four-person teams and compete individually for the generous purse. The field will be treated to three of Bermuda’s best courses: famed Mid Ocean Club, Port Royal and one of the world’s greatest 18-hole, par-3 layouts, Turtle Hill.

“I had the opportunity to work with Michael in Bermuda during the PGA Grand Slam of Golf and he shares our fondness for the island,” says Steranka. “Michael’s large and enthusiastic following makes him an ideal ambassador for the championship and Bermuda golf.”

Breed is perhaps best known as the host of “The Golf Fix,” the highest rated instruction series in the history of the Golf Channel. He’s Golf Digest’s Chief Digital Instructor and ranks 13th on the magazine’s “50 Best Teachers in America.” A native of Greenwich, CT, he operates the Michael Breed Golf Academy at Trump Golf Links at Ferry Point in The Bronx, NY.

“Bermuda embodies everything I love about the game of golf – challenging courses, amazing settings and wonderful people,” says Breed. “BERMUDA 3s is poised to become the next great international golf event and it’s an honor to partner with Joe and Ken.”

Bermuda has been a popular golf destination since hosting the PGA Grand Slam of Golf from 2007-14 at Mid Ocean and Port Royal. The Fairmont Southampton will be the host hotel for those competing and is also home to the championship venue, Turtle Hill Golf Club.
