Golf Pride Is Most Trusted Equipment Brand by Golf’s Next Generation of Stars

Grips Were Most Used at the 2018 NCAA Men’s and Women’s Division I Golf Championships

(SOUTHERN PINES, N.C.) - Eaton announced that its Golf Pride Grips Division was the most used equipment brand of any kind at both the 2018 NCAA Men’s and Women’s Division I Championships. By the numbers, 97% of players, including the Champion, competing in this year’s NCAA Men’s Golf Championship at Karsten Creek Golf Club trusted their games to Golf Pride grips.

While several players relied on the brand’s most trusted grip on Tour, the Tour Velvet, over half of the other players chose Golf Pride’s flagship hybrid MCC and Z-Grip full-cord models. In addition, the brand’s breakthrough ALIGN Technology was also on display by many of the best collegiate players in the nation. On the green, Golf Pride had more putter grips in play than any competitor with its latest putter grip, TOUR SNSR, being used by twice as many players this year compared to 2017.

At the 2018 NCAA Women’s Division I Golf Championship, 89% of the field chose Golf Pride, including the winner who trusted her game to Golf Pride’s flagship MCC grips. In fact, MCC was used by 54 of 132 players.

“We congratulate all of the teams and individuals who qualified for the NCAA Division I Golf Championships this season,” said Brandon Sowell, global sales and marketing director for Golf Pride. “As we step back and look at Golf Pride’s usage compared to other major equipment brands in golf, we are extremely humbled that such an overwhelming amount of players trust our technology and performance.”
