GolfNow, 18Birdies Launch Integrated Tee-Time Partnership to Super-Serve Golfers

(ORLANDO, Fla.) – GolfNow and 18Birdies announced a strategic partnership, making GolfNow the preferred tee-time provider for 18Birdies’ mobile golf platform. The partnership will showcase golf courses within GolfNow’s online tee-time marketplace to 18Birdies’ rapidly growing user base of more than 950,000 golfers, providing them easy access to book tee times at more than 8,000 courses worldwide.

GolfNow is building partnerships across a global industry to strengthen technology offerings to better serve golfers and golf courses, ultimately, making golf more easily accessible to those that play the game and the millions interested in taking up the sport. This partnership with 18Birdies is one of several partnerships GolfNow is announcing this week.

“18Birdies is one of the most innovative technology companies in the golf industry,” said Will McIntosh, executive vice president, Strategy, Golf Channel. “Our companies have a shared passion for connecting golfers to the game, and this partnership helps our golf course partners grow their businesses via exposure within the 18Birdies platform and by helping the 18Birdies community of golfers discover and book tee times with ease.”

“Partnering with GolfNow enables us to provide significant value to our golf community,” said Eddy Lui, founder and CEO of 18Birdies. “In addition to great features inside the 18Birdies app, providing tee time reservations to our community members greatly improves our user experience. GolfNow was the obvious partner given their position as the number-one provider of online tee times in the world.”

Since launching in 2016, 18Birdies has become the fastest-growing golf utility app. Its wide range of features includes a GPS rangefinder for more than 35,000 courses worldwide, score, round, side-games and stat tracking, a variety of golf content from leading publishers and social sharing. The app also features a one-of-a-kind rewards program, DreamGames, which rewards golfers every day for just playing golf and was also recently recognized with an Editor’s Choice Award by Golf Digest and named a Webby Award Finalist for Best GPS Technology.

Later this year, golfers within the 18Birdies community seeking to book a tee time online will be able to do so directly through the 18Birdies mobile application. They will be able to search through available tee times via the “Book Now” integration with GolfNow.

More than 8,000 golf courses around the world have chosen GolfNow as their preferred partner. They are able to benefit from GolfNow’s leading technology, support and marketing services – which have facilitated more than 32 million rounds of golf over the last two years – to increase operating efficiency and allow more staff time to dedicate to customer service.

Coinciding with the growing trend of tee times being booked via online sources and mobile apps, recent studies by the National Golf Foundation reveal the number of people interested in taking up golf has nearly doubled over the past five years. The NGF also has reported that GolfNow users tend to play golf more often and play a variety of new courses each year as a result of using GolfNow.
