Care For Cops Hosts Twelfth Annual Charity Golf Shootout September 4

Event celebrates the great work of Georgia law enforcement officers and raises funds to support the families of those who have fallen in the line of duty

(RELEASE) - The funds raised at the annual event provides immediate resources in times of great need, bridges the financial gap when a loved one is lost, and acknowledges the sacrifices made by law enforcement officers in Georgia.

Founder and CEO David Post, who served in the Marine Corp for 5.5 years and is a Reserve Commander with the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Department, stated, "It is a moral imperative that we take care of the families of these fallen officers because of their sacrifice and to show them how much we care."

Care For Cops is a non-profit organization that has provided direct financial assistance to more than sixty Georgia law enforcement families since 1999. Every day law enforcement officers risk their lives to protect and serve. Through Care For Cops, the community has the opportunity to donate resources intended to compensate families immediately after the loss of their loved one.

"I have seen first-hand, at the time it was most needed, the positive impact that Care For Cops has made in the lives of Georgia law enforcement families. It is an organization doing the right things for the right reasons," said C. Norwood Davis III, CFO, 12Stone Church.

Tragic events in the past several years have made us all more aware of the sacrifices that these men and women make each and every day. It is time to take care of the families our fallen officers have left behind. Reserve your spot or make a donation by calling our office at 470.219.5027 or visiting our website at www.Care4Cops.org.
