Country Club of St. Albans selects KemperSports

(NORTHBROOK, Ill.) – The Country Club of St. Albans located in St. Albans, MO, has selected KemperSports to manage the iconic club. Recognized as one of the premier private clubs in the St. Louis market, The Country Club of St. Albans will look to KemperSports’ expertise as the club continues to develop and execute its new long-term strategic plan.

KemperSports will utilize the company’s more than 35 years of experience operating private clubs to guide The Country Club of St. Albans through the process that will focus on membership growth and engagement initiatives while implementing KemperSports’ proprietary TrueService training program that strives to exceed member and guest service expectations.

“We are very excited about this major commitment with KemperSports. This is another big move forward for our Membership. Our club already offers an unparalleled golfing experience and we are confident that this new partnership will help us achieve our goal in making The Country Club of St. Albans the premier private destination club in the Midwest,” said board president Raj Bhuyan. “Their experience in managing some of the top private clubs in the country will certainly be an asset to the future of the club.”

The Country Club of St. Albans offers 36 holes of championship golf, including the Lewis and Clark course (1992) designed by Tom Weiskopf and Jay Morrish and Tavern Creek (1997) designed by Dr. Michael Hurdzan and Dana Fry. Together, the courses combine for two of the best golf courses in the state, including being ranked by Golf Digest on their 2015-2016 list of the best courses in Missouri (Lewis and Clark – 7, Tavern Creek – 9).

The pair of golf courses adds to KemperSports’ portfolio of more than 120 public, private and resort golf courses from across the U.S. and Latin America. Recently, KemperSports was named 2016 Club Management Company of the Year for the fourth time in five years by BoardRoom Magazine.

In addition to top-ranked championship golf, The Country Club of St. Albans rounds out the membership experience with a prestigious clubhouse with multiple dining options, Jr. Olympic-sized swimming pool with poolside dining and four outdoor tennis courts.

“The Country Club of St. Albans is a great club in a great market,” KemperSports CEO Steve Skinner said. “We look forward to working with the club’s Board of Directors and membership to enhance the club and programs offered. In addition, members of the Club will receive access at other private clubs we manage across the country.”
