Troon Expands Florida Office To Accommodate Regional Growth

(Scottsdale, Ariz.) – To accommodate regional growth interests and opportunities, Troon, the leader in golf course management, development, and marketing, has expanded its new Palm Beach Gardens, Florida office. Golf industry veteran Ricardo Catarino has joined Troon and will serve as vice president of operations, while Ryan Petteruti will serve as operations manager in the Florida office.

“We’ve seen tremendous growth in the Southeast with recent management agreements and partnerships,” said John Easterbrook, executive vice president and chief operating officer, Troon. “We expect that trend to continue and therefore we’re expanding our Florida operations team. Ricardo and Ryan are solid additions as they will help service our existing facilities and assist in securing future agreements.”

Through Troon Golf, Honours Golf and Troon Privé, the company operates 16 facilities in Florida, including Audubon Country Club in Naples, BallenIsles Country Club in Palm Beach Gardens, World Golf Village Resort in St. Augustine and The Diplomat Golf & Tennis Club in Hallandale. In September, Troon announced a management agreement with Tiburón Golf Club in Naples.

Catarino has over 20 years of operational experience in daily fee, private club and luxury golf resort properties, serving as general manager at multiple properties and regional director of operations for the Southeast.  Catarino is a native of Portugal and has intimate knowledge of the golf environments in multiple markets both domestically and internationally. Throughout his career he has been known as a dynamic relationship builder who forges sustainable alliances with clients, vendors and industry leaders and one who leverages these into mutually beneficial partnerships.

Petteruti was born and raised in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. A graduate of Florida State University with dual degrees in accounting and finance and a Master’s degree in accounting, Petteruti has worked for RSM (formerly McGladrey) in Jacksonville, and the accounting firm of Wisneski, Sears & Associates in Jupiter.
