World Recreational Golf Association Launches New Alliance with Handicomp USA

(Carlsbad, California) - The World Recreational Golf Association (WRGA), founded in May of 2014 by industry veterans, John B. Hoeflich and David L. Felker, announced an alliance with Handicomp USA to offer golfers a free handicap service through http://www.wrga.org.

The WRGA, an upstart golf association whose purpose is to cater to grass roots golfers and Handicomp, a golf handicapping company with nearly 50 years of experience in the market, have engaged to deliver a golf handicapping system that will be portable across courses of differing difficulty and make it available to every golfer in the world for free. The system is Internet based, it's live, and it can be accessed by anyone. By simply joining WRGA as a Free Member you are entitled to use the Free WRGA Handicap System.

Stewart Healey, President of Handicomp says "We have a time-tested portable handicap system that we've been providing to league golfers through our Golf League Network application for more than a decade and it only made sense that we open it up to any and all golfers, and once we crossed paths with the WRGA it was obvious we had the partner we were looking for."

There are three key aspects of the WRGA Handicap System; the first is that its formula to derive a WRGA Base Handicap can be applied to any set of scores rather than a fixed set of scores tied to a rigid set of rules, the second is that it takes into account a course's difficulty and adjusts a WRGA Base Handicap to a Tee Handicap accordingly, and the third is that it is a real-time individual handicap that is free and unburdened. Consequently, it creates many opportunities for millions of golfers who otherwise do not carry a handicap.

"We are extremely excited about our partnership with Handicomp USA. A high percentage of daily fee and global golfers are not served by any handicap service.  Now league golfers, casual golfers and players around the world can establish a handicap based on the way they play the game - for fun," said John Hoeflich, Executive Director of the WRGA.

"In keeping with our mission to serve golfers by helping to make the game more fun and more affordable for recreational golfers around the world, we are pleased to be able to provide the WRGA Golf Handicap Service for free," said David Felker, WRGA Founder.

Membership in the WRGA is free and golfers and non-golfers are urged to find out more about the WRGA at http://www.WRGA.org or on Facebook (World Recreational Golf Association).
