PGA TOUR Superstore Opens first Minnesota Store

Celebration Includes $30,000 in giveaways, $15,000 Donation to The First Tee of the Twin Cities

(ATLANTA, GA) – PGA TOUR Superstore is ushering in a new experience for Twin Cities golfers in Minnetonka when doors open June 11 at 9 a.m. for the grand opening of its first interactive retail store. The 41,000 square foot location is at 394 and Ridgedale Road across from the Ridgedale Center in a previous Sports Authority location.

Known for its large-format interactive stores across the country, PGA TOUR Superstore’s new Minnetonka layout is its 26th store in the United States and will be the largest golf retail store in the area. The grand opening celebration includes $30,000 in product giveaways to the first customers in line and a $15,000 donation to The First Tee of the Twin Cities.

The new PGA TOUR Superstore in Minnetonka will employ up to 50 associates including PGA of America teaching professionals, and will have 12 interactive simulators, practice hitting bays, a large putting green measuring more than 1,500 square feet and an in-house club-making and repair facility to provide a unique, interactive experience to golf enthusiasts of all levels.

“The Twin Cities represents a premier market for our first store in Minnesota and we are excited to bring the best experiential destination in golf retail to Minnetonka,” said PGA TOUR Superstore President and CEO Dick Sullivan. “We are in the business of inspiring all types of golfers – from beginners to scratch golfers – to play the game and find everything they need under one roof.  With the amount of golf played in the area, and The Ryder Cup coming to the Twin Cities this fall, it’s a great time for us to open our first store here.”
