With more than 160 golf courses, Mexico is one of the sport’s favorite global destinations.

While duffers and fanatics converge on Playa del Carmen’s Caribbean coast each year for the OHL Classic, Mexico’s west coast has been garnering rave reviews for the plethora of world-class tracks in Cabo San Lucas and Punta Mita, located the exclusive community of Riviera Nayarit.

Here, see a selection of the Top 5 golf courses in these trending destinations in Mexico, according to reviews on Tripadvisor.

Los Cabos, where the desert coastline meets the Sea of Cortez, has become one of the world’s top golf destinations.

It has been recognized as the "Grand Dame of Los Cabos golf." As the first Jack Nicklaus Signature Design in Latin America, the masterfully conceived golf course is stunning and challenging. It is a world-class masterpiece on the world stage and is the best of Cabo golf in Cabo San Lucas. This Cabo golf course features spectacular views of the Sea of Cortez on every hole, and each of the 9-hole Palmilla golf courses.

DIAMANTE CABO SAN LUCAS

Punta Mita is the exclusive home to the Punta Mita development, destined to become Mexico’s leading luxury enclave. Condo, resorts, and golf courses are springing up along what is one of Mexico’s prettiest coastal regions.

PUNTA MITA BAHIA
This is the second course Nicklaus has designed for Punta Mita. Its layout includes lush tropical landscaping with five holes that play along the ocean and an additional two with ocean views resulting even more spectacular from December to April when humpback whales can easily be spotted from shore. Its only open to club members, residents and guests of the Punta Mita resorts.
