Inaugural Women's Golf Day Set for June 7

(RELEASE) - The inaugural Women's Golf Day (WGD) will be celebrated around the world June 7. Between the hours of 4-8 p.m., this first-of-its-kind global growth-of-the-game event, will welcome women and girls to golf facilities where they will be introduced to the game in a welcoming and spirited environment. The event also encourages existing female golf enthusiasts to attend and tee it up for nine holes of late afternoon scramble-format golf.

According to Women's Golf Day Event Founder Elisa Gaudet, CEO of Executive Golf International, immediately following the late afternoon golf clinic (or on-course 9-hole experience), WGD attendees will participate in a celebratory gathering that's all about networking and making quality connections through golf.

"We are inviting all golf clubs, retail locations and golf facilities to participate in this event to engage and encourage women and girls to play golf," said Event Founder Elisa Gaudet. "Women are enormous economic influencers and it is important that they have a positive experience when taking up the game. Women's Golf Day is an opportunity for golf facilities to host a women-welcoming event that works for women in their community as well as for their facility. We encourage every golf facility in the U.S. and abroad to be leaders in women's golf by registering their facility today as an official Women's Golf Day venue."
