VPAR Launches Tournament Management System in U.S.

(Chatham, NJ) – VPAR (www.vpar.com) – the award-winning technology company and pioneer of Live Golf Scoring – successfully introduced its club-focused Tournament Management System (TMS) at the 2016 PGA Merchandise Show, Jan. 27-29, 2016.

The web-based technology enables club managers  and PGA Professionals to simplify, monetize and significantly enhance the player experience at their tournaments, outings and member events. Features include:
- Leaderboards displayed on clubhouse TVs and online Pairing and handicap management
- Pace of play reports and analysis Live scoring and GPS options
- Print functionality for scorecards, cart signs, etc.
- Customizable branding
- Data capture for visiting golfers

“The positive feedback from PGA Professionals at the show was incredible, demonstrated by our salesexceeding expectations,” says VPAR President and Managing Director Jason Stoop. “Having completedthe design of the platform, we thought we’d created something ground-breaking but you never know howit will be received until the operational experts get to review it themselves. VPAR also discussed strategic partnerships with several top golf companies in Orlando, and demoed their award-winning mobile app and services to media during an exclusive outing at Dubsdread Golf Course.

“The reaction from media and PGA professionals, coupled with the recent GHIN Value Added Service Provider approval granted by the USGA, indicates that golf leaders are embracing VPAR,” says Stoop.

The USGA VASP status allows tournament organizers to automatically pull, push and update existing GHIN handicap indexes for members and guests directly from the TMS.

VPAR Live Scoring Tournament Service was used to score over 1,000 outings worldwide in 2015, fororganizations like Audi, Shoprite, The Ronald McDonald House and the New York Yankees. The VPAR app was also a Top-5 “Sports” app during the PGA TOUR season and was recently featured in Golf Digest, The New York Times and Gulfweed.
