VPAR to Launch Club Platform at 2016 PGA Merchandise Show

(New York, NY) – VPAR (www.vpar.com) – the award-winning technology company and pioneer of Live Golf Scoring – will unveil its club-focused tournament management system to PGA Professionals and media at the 2016 PGA Merchandise Show, Jan. 26-29, in Orlando, Fla.

Currently used extensively by golf clubs across the UK including The Belfry and Stoke Park, the simple-to-use, web based platform enables pros to enhance the player experience and generate additional revenue from their club tournaments, outings and member events. Features include:
- Leaderboards displayed online and on clubhouse TVs
- Pairing and handicap management
- Pace of play reports and analysis
- Live scoring and GPS options
- Simple print functionality for scorecards, cart signs, etc.
- Customizable branding
- Data capture for visiting golfers

“Following the success of our Live Scoring Tournament Service, PGA Professionals and club managers requested year-round access to the VPAR technology to manage and enhance all of their golf tournaments and events,” says VPAR President and Managing Director Jason Stoop. “Working closely with a number of clubs and pros, we’ve designed it specifically to their needs.”

Club representatives visiting VPAR at Booth #3127 at the Orange County Convention Center are eligible for a show discount on the Club Platform. Also on display will be the VPAR mobile app and Live Scoring Tournament Service – which allow amateur golfers to enjoy the pro-like thrill of real-time leaderboards on the course.

Last year the VPAR Tournament Service was used to score over 1,000 outings worldwide for organizations like Audi, Shoprite, The Ronald McDonald House and the New York Yankees. The VPAR app was also a Top-5 “Sports” app during the PGA TOUR season and was recently featured in Golf Digest, The New York Times and Golfweek.

  1. There are several ways to boost a brand using a fresh approach and strategic planning. Corporate event planning must include inspiration and education that will engage the audience and brings the event to life. The events must leave the attendees with a long lasting impression.
