SKIMP to Sponsor 2015 Veterans Putting Challenge

(JUPITER, Florida) – SKIMP, a lifestyle collection of fashionable, colorful accessories to be worn on or off the golf course, will serve as a sponsor of the 2015 Veterans Putting Challenge, to take place Nov. 9 in conjunction with the VGA (Veterans Golf Association) National Championship being held at Pinehurst Country Club, in Pinehurst, N.C., and the activities to be held on Veterans Day (Nov. 11). SKIMP will donate four “La Courageuse” sport watches, designed in France, to be used as prizes at the event.

“We are happy to provide these SKIMP watches to this year’s Veterans Putting Challenge,” said Laurent-Alix Huguet, CEO of H4Distribution. “We appreciate the veterans’ contributions and are glad to help support this fine event.”

Funds raised from the Veterans Putting Challenge will be disbursed solely to the over 1,000 disabled and needy veterans and their families who reside in Moore County, N.C. The event is free and open to the public.

Dr. Edwin Cottrell, of Henderson, N.C., was a founder of the Veterans Putting Challenge. The inaugural event was held in 2013 at Mid Pines Inn and Golf Club in Southern Pines, N.C.

“We are proud that each year the Veterans Putting Challenge continues to support our fine veterans of Moore County,” Dr. Cottrell said. “We greatly respect their service and sacrifice.”

The VGA (www.vgagolf.org) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to promoting the game of golf to veterans and their family members. The VGA develops programs that allow members to compete, socialize and remain physically active through golf.
