ECCO Golf Introduces SPEED HYBRID

Latest Offering Distinguished by Premium Leathers, Lightweight Comfort, Vintage Styling

(LONDONDERRY, NH) – Danish company ECCO – a leading global manufacturer of innovative footwear – announces the launch of its latest hybrid golf shoe, ECCO SPEED HYBRID, which combines a cool, vintage sneaker aesthetic with leading-edge comfort technology and a Tour-proven outsole.

Continuing to expand the horizons of hybrid footwear styling, the SPEED HYBRID’s sleek design and subdued colors perfectly coordinate with nearly any outfit. It is also distinguished by:
- Exceptional cushioning, flexibility and durability provided by a Direct-injected PU midsole
- E-DTS outsole with molded traction bars made from hard-wearing TPU that provide hundreds of traction angles for superb grip
- ECCO Freedom Fit mixing a snug heel setting with a roomier forefoot area that allows toes to move naturally

“Inspired by one of ECCO’s best-selling casual sneakers, the SPEED HYBRID pairs a great look with the game’s most-advanced hybrid outsole technology,” says Michael Waack, Head of Global Golf at ECCO. “It’s another testament to our unique position as one of the world’s largest shoe companies, a top maker of luxury leathers and pioneer of golf footwear trends.”

To ensure a pleasant walk round after round, the SPEED HYBRID also includes a removable leather inlay sole with ECCO Comfort Fibre System. The leather/textile shoes feature ECCO HYDROMAX, a proprietary treatment that provides outstanding, long-lasting water-repellency, and are available in three colorways.

Like all ECCO golf shoes, the SPEED HYBRID is crafted at ECCO-owned factories using the Direct-injection Process. This bonds the upper and outsole unit, creating a one-piece shoe without the use of glue or stitching. Benefits include permanent memory and a firm, water-tight seal.

Endorsed by Tour stars worldwide, the ECCO Golf collection is worn in competition by Fred Couples, Ernie Els, Graeme McDowell, Thomas Bjørn, Marcel Siem, Thongchai Jaidee, Will Wilcox, Na Yeon Choi, Caroline Masson, Jennifer Johnson, Sadena Parks, Kendall Dye, Line Vedel Hansen, Pernilla Lindberg, Therese Koelbaek, Sophie Giquel-Bettan, Liz Young, Sally Watson and Linda Wessberg, among others.
