Kuchar Rides His B330-S To Fiji International Victory

Bridgestone Tour Staffer Overcomes Gale-Force Winds to Win Fiji International

(Covington, Ga.) – This weekend at the Fiji International, Bridgestone Golf tour team star Matt Kuchar used impressive iron shots, clutch putting and some fun father-son time with his caddie-Dad Peter to fire a Sunday 69, taking the 2015 Fiji International title by four shots.  In his victory, Kuchar trusted Bridgestone’s Tour B330-S golf ball and J15 clubs on his way to a 4-under 284 in blustery conditions, making him the only competitor to finish under par for the tournament.

The win in Fiji was Kuchar’s twelfth worldwide professional victory of his career, first non-team international victory, and most important, the first with his father on his bag.  Kuchar relied largely on the spin-killing gradational compression core and wind-cheating 330 seamless cover of his Bridgestone Tour B330-S ball to negotiate gale-force winds at Natadolo Bay Golf Club. Kuchar bested the field with an array of Bridgestone clubs in his bag, as well:

Kuchar’s Bridgestone Arsenal
· TOUR B330-S Golf Ball
· J815 Driver (9.5 degrees)
· J15 Cavity Back Irons Black (5-PW)
· J40 Black Oxide Wedges (52 degrees (bent to 51 degrees))
· Tour Premium Glove

"Wow, what a cool experience for Matt to win a professional event with Peter on the bag,” said Corey Consuegra, Senior Director of Marketing – Bridgestone Golf, Inc. “Golf has long been a family affair for the Kuchars and we’ve enjoyed a wonderful relationship with Matt and his entire family, so seeing father and son enjoy this win together is particularly exciting for us.  We are proud to have played a small part in such a special moment.”
